Ten Things I’m Really Loving Right Now…

1. Apple cider. I clearing have been missing something great. I had never tried this wonderful drink and now that I am sad that it only comes around during fall.

2. Woot: One day, one deal. Have you ever seen this site? If not, you should really check it out. I love the tee-shirts that they have on sale. Some of them are so funny and cute. And at only $10 how can you go wrong?

3. Dark nail polish. I love when the weather gets cooler and the nights darker. This means it is time to pull out the darker nail polish and glam it up a bit.

4. After Thanksgiving Thanksgiving. I can NOT wait till it happens. Bookishpenguin and I will be throwing this bash and I CAN NOT WAIT!

5. Discovering little shops in little towns I have never heard of. A couple of girlfriends and I have been spending time in little towns that have wonderful streets with little shops. I love discovering new places.

6. Not have channels five and nine. Seems that Cablevision and channel five and nine have been doing me a favorite. Less shows to watch in the DVR. More time to do other things.

7. Comfy blankets on cool nights with great books. Enough said.

8. Finding out that I can buy books on Amazon and they directly download into my Kindle. Loving, yet it is so easy to keep buying more books!

9. Laughter. Because it is the best medicine.

10. My new Kitchen Aid Mixer. Because it is bigger and better and faster then my old one. Oh and it doesn’t make funny noises when I turn it on!

Ten Things I’m Really Loving Right Now…

1.  Not having to be somewhere. While planning a wedding you are always somewhere.  Be it the florist, the store, printers or your Mom’s house.  You always have somewhere to be and something to do.  I am just enjoying the quiet time now.

2.  Breakfast for dinner. Who doesn’t love a good french toast at 7 in the evening?

3. Applebee’s boneless wings. So bad, but they taste so good.

4.  Spice lattes. Apple Cider and Pumpkin spice.  I love the tastes of fall.

5.  Sweet tea. Even though fall is here, I can not give up my sweet tea.  I will make it no matter what season it is.

6.  Cleaning. Slowly our apartment is looking less like a wedding disaster zone and more like our home again.

7.  Puppies. I want a puppy that I saw in the store a week ago.  I can’t stop thinking about him.  Really wishing that we would have one…especially him.

8.  Long, hot baths. Soaking in the tub with some great music, candles burning and no place to go.  Heaven.

9.  Natalie Portman. I can NOT wait to see Black Swan.

10.  Fall vegetables. Mmmm…pumpkin and spinach!

Ten Things I’m Really Loving Right Now…

1. Finding money in odd places. Ever go through a purse that you haven’t used in a couple of months and find a twenty-dollar bill. Yea…I know…awesome!

2. Cupcake Wars. I love this new show on Food Network. I DVR it all the time and love to watch the flavors people come up with.

3. The smell of lavender. My boss bought me lavender to cook with. I just bought a cream with lavender. I love how the smell calms me and makes me think of fields of purple and green.

4. Watermelon. The perfect summer fruit.

5. The fact that my wedding is only a month and a half away. I can not wait to get married to the man I am so deeply in love with.

6. Discovering new blogs. Who doesn’t love the feeling of a new blog that you could totally relate to and that has wonderful pictures of food you want to gobble up?

7. Easy summer livin’. Long days, relaxing, cold beers, fresh sangria, sweet ice cream, and BBQs.

8. Eric on True Blood. Man he is tasty!

9. Pretzel M&M’s. Oh my! Oh yummy! Have you tried these yet?

10. Chick lit. I am always on the look out for a good juicy read for the summer. This is my favorite time to sit outside and read something easy and simple.

Ten Things I’m Really Loving Right Now…

{Website Edition}

1. Rebecca Thusse. If you are ever designing a wedding or even a little party for friends you should check out Rebecca’s website. It is inspirational!

2. Sea of shoes.This girl has such amazing fashion sense at such a young age. I envy her clothing!

3. 1000 Awesome Things. It reminds you to remember that even though you are having a bad day there is always something out there at is awesome. Even the littlest things!

4. Tip nut. Many, many, many DIY household tips and projects. Looking for something to do or even how to do it…this is the place to look.

5. Design*Sponge. This website makes me want to do things. Be it decorate, paint, or reupholster something. Ooo and it makes me want to go to flea markets everyday to find little pieces that I can make over. If only I had a house to actually do most of this stuff!

6. The Craving Chronicles. I want to make about 75% of the foods that are blogged about on this site.

7. Omnomicon. Cute site. I love her tag line “say it with me now, “om nom nom”.

8. Delight. I want everything on this site! There is always something fun and unique to buy.

9. Plasticland. Odd little things for the house. Cute shoes. Retro clothing. Check it out.

10. House of Turquoise. I love the color turquoise. A blog about fabulous rooms in the color…sounds amazing to me. I. WANT. To. Live. In. These. Houses.

Mad about macarons!!

After writing my blog post on Wednesday (Ten Things I’m Really Loving Right Now… ) I was really, really craving macarons. I also wanted to order some so that my family could try them. K and I have been talking about having them at our wedding, but so many people we know have no idea what they are or what they taste like.

I know that I won’t be able to get into New York City till the beginning of August (where they have bakeries that sell them), so I searched the internet for a place that might have them in New Jersey. Alas, I could not find a bakery close that had them. So I continued the search until I found MadMac.

MadMac is a distributor (wholesale and/or retail) that sells authentic french macarons and madeleines. Two of my favorite cookies in the whole wide world. MadMac sells macaron trays of 12 and of 48. They have traditional flavors such as chocolate, pistachio, raspberry, vanilla, white chocolate and lemon. You can also order non-traditional flavors such as matcha green tea, jasmin tea, earl grey, sesame seeds, star anis, cinnamon and pumpkin. Oh how I wish I could order them all!

Last night the order came. One box for me and another for my boss (another great lover of the cookie). I was only able to eat one (lemon) since we were on our way out for dinner, but I can’t wait till tonight so I could have some more!

Ten Things I’m Really Loving Right Now…

1. The warmth on my skin.  I have a nice little glow right now due to the last couple of days in the sun.  I love the way my skin looks and feels after a light tan.

2. Macarons. I am really loving this wonderful cookie.  Even thinking of having it at our wedding.  I would also love this cake.

3.  A good book in an air conditioned apartment. When it is 100 degrees outside there is nothing better than a well air conditioned spot to sit and relax….especially with a good book.

4. Wild Mountain Blueberry Coffee by Green Mountain for my Keurig. Tastes like coffee and a blueberry muffin combined. Delish!

5. Our wedding invitations. The invitations are coming along wonderfully.  After putting together the first one I cried.  They are just so lovely!

6.  Flats. This summer I have a ton of new flats.  Every time I go to the store I want to buy another pair.  They are so cute and comfortable!

7. Framboise Lambic Beer. I love it really cold and in a cute glass. It it a perfect “girly” beer.  It is a Belgian lambic beer that is fermented using raspberries and goes amazingly with chocolate desserts and fresh raspberries. I can’t wait to make this Lottie + Doof recipe of Framboise Lambic Beer Sorbetto.

8. Covert Affairs On USA. This is going to be my new go to show to watch this summer.  Reminds me a lot of Alias.

9. The posters and prints over at MadeByGirl. I want to buy just about every one of them. I just might one day!

10. Summer lists. Things you want to do for the summer.  So many bloggers are doing it (Like Not Your Average Ordinary & Orangette).  What a great idea. It is like my 101 in 1001 list only shorter.  Too bad I caught onto it when summer is 1/2 over.

Ten Things I’m Really Loving Right Now…

1. Getting ready for the wedding. It is coming up so quickly (120 days to go). I am loving every minute of it.

2. A long weekend away. K and I are finally going to be able to have some relaxation for three straight days. No computers, appointments or work.

3. Wedding blogs. I can’t stop looking at them. I go through at least two a day. I love the ideas that the brides have and the many different ways that you can do the same event. Only problem is that I keep changing my mind about stuff for our wedding because I am constantly inspired.

4. Visiting friends from far places. Nothing is better then finding out a friend who you haven’t seen in ages is visiting.

5. Not saying no. Lately I have been trying to get into the habit of saying yes. Yes I will hang out. Yes I will go there. Yes I will try that. It makes life so much better when you say yes more. Try it out!

6. Getting our paper for our wedding invitations. My sister and I will be making our wedding invitations. We finally got the paper in. Now we just have to find the time to sit down and put them all together.

7. Chocolate covered anything. If it has chocolate on it I will eat it. Well, just about anything. A friend of mine gave us some homemade chocolate covered fruits (berries, apricots and other yummy fruits). I can’t get enough of them.

8. Summer colored nail polish. I have an obsession lately with the summer colors. Corals, light pinks and pastels.

9. Our registry. I keep looking at it. I love everything on it and can’t wait to see what we end up getting.

10. Looking for our wedding bands. We finally think we found the perfect wedding bands for the wedding. Now I just have to wait 120 days to wear it. It is killing me!

Ten Things I’m Really Loving Right Now…

1. Being productive. SO much is getting done for the wedding. Save-the-dates will be going out by the end of the week, we have booked our dj, appointments for the florists are made. Invitations are in the works and so many other things are getting done. I am so excited.

2. Glee. I just re-watched the older episodes and I can’t wait for it to start back up this week!!

3. Sunlight lasting well into the evening. I love coming home and it being light out. It makes the day feel so much better.

4. Windows open when I am sleeping. The cool breeze while I sleep is amazing – makes me sleep so much better and deeper.

5. Avocados. Mmmm…soooo good!

6. Walks in the park. I love walking hand in hand with my honey and experiencing the fresh air and the plants blooming.

7. The little details of our wedding. The songs we are picking out. Our guest sign in. Our thoughts.

8. Margaritas with new friends. I love learning about people and experiencing things in a new light. Always fun.

9. Southern Weddings Magazine Blog. What an inspiration.

10. Laughing. I can’t get enough of it. Who doesn’t love a good laugh?
