About Me

Hi, Welcome to Delightfully Sweet! I’m Danielle – author of this little blog spot on the world wide web.

I am currently navigating my way through my early thirties trying to show myself, my kitchen, and the world what I am made of.  I am a receptionist by day and baker, entertainer and all around foodie by night.  I smile a lot. I laugh too loud. I am easily amused. I find fun in little things – always enjoy life to the fullest. I am not one to take things too seriously. I have started a torrid affair with a caffeine addiction (Thank you Keurig machine!), I watch entirely too many movies (Thank you, Netflix), love books, Etsy and sarcasm.

I am long-time resident of New Jersey.  That’s where I do the majority of my living, working, eating and loving.  I am a self/family taught cook and baker.  I currently started working in the corporate world after being absent from it for the last several years.  I decided to take the jump from working with an orthodontist and her wonderful staff back into the corporate world again.  It was a scary change, but one I am looking forward to conquering!

I am happiest when I am in my kitchen. I love to cook, eat and entertain.  If there is a day that I am not cooking/baking that is a day that I am not in my element.

As of October 1st, I married to the most wonderfully funny, sweet and sarcastic person I have ever met. He is my Mr. Delightfully Sweet or also known around these parts as K.

What is this blog about you ask? It is my little place on the internet to talk about whatever comes to mind. Be it the food that I just cooked, the pictures I just took, the things I have bought or wish to buy or just whatever is floating around in my head. The blog started out as a lark. I was spending so much time reading other bloggers that I just thought that I would start my own. Now, almost two years later, I am still in love with writing and with this blog. Hope you enjoy all that it entails. Thank you for stopping by!

  1. I couldn’t find a contact section or an email address so I thought I’d comment here. Bookish Penguin nominated you for a little contest I was running on my blog and you won! I would like to run a 125×125 ad for your blog if you are interested. You’ll just need to send me an image to use. Please email me and let me know :) Thanks, Erin.
