Fill in the Blank Friday

1. I am a wife. Daughter. Blogger. Lover. Baker. Animal lover. Self taught cook. Funny. Sweet. Sarcastic. A good friend.

2. The bravest thing I’ve ever done was at this moment it would be quitting my job for a new one. I just did that last week! Ekk!

3. I feel prettiest when I am with my husband. No matter what I know every time he looks at me he loves me. It makes me feel like the prettiest women in the world.

4. Something that keeps me awake at night is things that I need to do. I always have a list of things that need to be done and sometimes if I can’t get them done when I want to it keeps me up.

5. My favorite meal in the entire world is homemade mac and cheese. I would be the size of a house if I ate that everyday!

6. The way to my heart is sarcasm and laughter. I love a good laugh. Oh and cookies help too!

7. I would like to one day to pay off all of my bills and be able to not worry about money. If only…

Monday Five Countdown

Wow I can’t believe it has been so long since I have written on this blog!  The last couple of weeks have been crazy, crazy, and even more crazy.  The last thing that has been mind was this blog.  SO now I am hopefully back and ready to start a new!  And what a better way to start a Monday then with my good friend Bookishpenguin’s Monday Countdown!

Five Things I’m Grateful For

1. A new start.  As of the 24th I will be working at a new job.  It is a bit scary but I am completely grateful for the opportunity.  I loved my old job, but good things always come to an end.

2. My husband.  He is a sweetheart.  The other day while we were talking he told me that no matter where he is he always happy to know that he is coming home to me and that he loves our life together.  Aww…

3. TV shows on Netflix.  They are a great way to fill a sleepless night or to catch up on a show that you never got to see because you DVR too many shows as it is. (Cough…cough).

4. A non-snowing week.  This has been the first week in what feels like months that we did not get a snow storm.  I am completely grateful for this because I didn’t have to pick up my shovel!

5. My new crockpot.  My parents bought me a new crockpot for Christmas and this week was the first time I was able to use it.  I love knowing that I can come home to a home cooked meal all ready for me.

Four Things I Can’t Stop Thinking About

1. I need to shop.  The old job I had we wore scrubs.  My new job is business causal.  I have nothing to wear!

2.  This blog.  I have been wanting to revamp it and write more.  As you can see that has not been working out.

3. Upcoming trips.  There are a couple of trips that I would like to take in the upcoming months.  Now I just have to figure out the $$ situation.

4.  Scheduling time to see friends and do other things that do not involve homework or staying home.

Three Things I Want To Accomplish This Week

1. Writing more on the blog.  I really need to update some spots and write about things that have been happening.

2. Buy a couple of outfits for work. Things that I can mix and match until I can buy more pieces.  I am pretty excited about being able to get dressed up again!

3.  I have a pile of recipes that I would like to try out.  I want to try at least three this week.

Two Things I Am Working To Be Positive About

1. Getting into a new schedule in the morning.  There will be no morning breakfast with a bit of television watching and leaving five minutes before I have to get to work.

2. Bills.  Who doesn’t have this problem?

One Random Thing

1. For the last month I have been addicted to jumbo marshmallows.  It is sick really…who thinks about snacking on a jumbo marshmallow at work?  I do.  I think I need help!

What’s going on with your five for today?

Fill in the Blank Friday

Oh Friday. I am so glad you are here! Now time to do a Blank Friday from The Little Things We Do…

1. The TV show/website that I watch/read that I would be embarrassed to tell anyone about is Glee. I don’t know why, but I never tell anyone I watch it and I love it.

2. An item of clothing that is worn and torn but that I love far too much to throw away is my bear sweater. It is the most comfortable, perfectly washed, feels like second skin sweater. I would hate to part with it.

3. My grocery store impulse buy is different kinds of cheeses. I usually have cheddar on my list, but I like to have a couple of different kinds so we try ones every once and a while.

4. Something I do at work to pass time that I wouldn’t want my co-workers to know about is checking my e-mails or texting. We are not supposed to use the internet or text during working hours.

5. One thing in my life that I could give up, but never will is my television. I could do so many other things with my time, but sometimes I just get sucked in.

6. A little indulgence that I have is my quiet reading time. I curl up in bed, get comfy and read. This happens usually on Wednesday nights while my husband is at school.

7. The junk drawer/area in my house is in the kitchen. We have it pretty neat with the menus, pens, chip clips and such. Nothing in the drawer is really junk at all…just things we don’t know where else to keep.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Fill in the Blank Friday

Friday has never looked so good!! For us here in New Jersey it is cold, dreary and very, very, very icy. What a better way to start this day then with a Fill in the Blank Friday from The Little Things We Do…

1. If I could only read one magazine publication for the rest of eternity, I would choose Domino. Right now I don’t have a magazine that I love as much as I did that magazine! I was so sad when they decided to stop publishing.

2. If I were to run my own magazine it would be about fashion and food. Two of my favorite things in life.

3. I buy my magazines (at the grocery check stand or via subscription) I subscribe to all of the magazines that I love. My husband does get a little annoyed sometimes because they can take over our very little mailbox.

4. I prefer my magazines (in print or online) in print. I love holding a magazine in my hand and being able to keep it if I would like. There is something about the colors and the feel of the paper that just gets me.

5. The number of magazines I buy each month is I don’t buy any magazines when I am out. I only subscribe.

6. My favorite magazine genre is (lifestyle, gossip, home, etc…) Right now it would be anything dealing with home or cooking. Those are two of my favorite things of the moment. Otherwise, it is fashion.

7. The magazines I read regularly are Food Network, Elle, In Style, Cooking Light and Cuisine at Home. There are others, but I just can’t seem to remember them at the moment!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
