I want to host a wine and cheese party. Perhaps even a French wine and cheese party. K and I haven’t had a party in a while and I am dying to entertain. I was thinking of picking three or four of our favorite wines, but I am not sure what cheeses we would pick. I would like to choose a couple to create some variety. I might go ahead and start sampling cheese a few weeks in advance just to make sure that there are no unpleasant surprises. I have also considered crackers, breads and toast for the cheeses. Fresh fruit, olives, nuts, chocolate, cheesecake, and a tart will also complement the cheeses. This all came about as I was thinking of K and my Valentine. The place that we decided to go to eat was Napa Valley Grill. We have been there previously and they have an amazing Artisan Cheese Tasting. They also have a Wine Flight. Both celebrate the diversity of wine/cheese with three, two ounce tastes enough to compare, contrast, experience and explore. And explore we did. K found the most amazing red wine! I think I will start with trying the cheeses and picking up the wine before deciding on when to have the party!
