This is one of my favorite brownie recipes. The brownie comes out incredibly fudge like and wonderful. I love to eat it slightly warm with ice cream!
The Fudge Brownie
1 1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
10 ounces dark chocolate (70% cacao)
2 sticks unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
5 eggs (room temp)
2 teaspoons vanilla
Preheat oven to 350. In a medium bowl whisk together the flour, salt and cocoa powder and set aside. Place the chocolate and butter in a double boiler and stir till melted and smooth. Turn off heat and add sugars. Whisk till combined, then remove pan and cool. After mixture has cooled add each egg individually and whisk till completely combined. Add vanilla. Add flour mixture and and fold into chocolate mixture. Pour batter into a 9 x 13 inch baking pan and bake for approximately 30 minutes.
Yields approximately 24 brownies
